Discovered in 1970's beneath the Treasury at Whitehall, are the original War Rooms, an underground secret bunker that sheltered Churchill and his Cabinet during the Blitz. It was the communications' center housed 'safely' under ground while London was being bombed above. Going into the maze of secret rooms was incredibly moving, some left exactly as they were found, abandoned during WWII.
